Faiza Fatima is an Associate at our firm with a practice encompassing civil, commercial, criminal and dispute resolution matters. She has represented and assisted clients before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, High Courts, District Courts and specialised tribunals, including the NCLT and NCLAT. Her experience encompasses civil and commercial disputes, insolvency and bankruptcy, company matters, arbitration, constitutional, criminal litigation, matrimonial and family law.

Her work involves advising and assisting clients in complex legal matters, with particular emphasis on understanding the factual and legal issues involved and developing appropriate strategies for their resolution. She has also been involved in arbitration proceedings and matters concerning commercial and insolvency disputes.

Prior to joining Karmanya, she worked as an Associate with an Advocate-on Record at the Supreme Court of India, where she handled and assisted in matters before the Supreme Court, High Courts, District Courts and other tribunals. Her experience includes examination of case records, identification of legal issues, statutory and case-law research, drafting, preparation of case briefs, client conferences and court appearances. She has also undertaken legal aid work through the District Legal Services Authority, assisting with client intake, case preparation, legal research and document review in matters concerning access to justice. Her approach combines detailed legal analysis with careful preparation and a practical understanding of procedural requirements.

Professional Experience

• Litigation and Court Practice : Handle civil, criminal and commercial disputes and proceedings before the Supreme Court, High Court and District Court. Her drafting experience includes Writ Petitions, Special Leave Petitions (SLP), Transfer Petitions, Written Statements, Counter Affidavits, Rejoinders and other legal documents.
• Insolvency and Company Matters: Handle insolvency proceedings and company-related disputes, including drafting and preparation of petitions and pleadings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and matters before the NCLT and NCLAT.
• Arbitration and Commercial Disputes: Assists in arbitration and commercial matters through legal research, drafting, preparation of pleadings and case materials.
• Matrimonial and Family Law: Handles matrimonial and family law matters, including divorce petitions, maintenance proceedings and matters under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act (DV Act).
• Legal Research : Conducts statutory and case-law research to identify relevant legal provisions and judicial precedents.
• Client and Case Management: Manages client conferences, factual assessment, preparation of case briefs, pre-hearing preparation and coordination in relation to court proceedings.
